For a client in the packaging industry, we developed a custom automated stainless steel line for inductive sealing of caps and labeling of bottles. The solution ensures reliable transport, precise label application, and meets all safety and hygiene requirements in an industrial environment.

Initial challenge — The client wanted to automate their existing manual process, achieve consistent label application, precise bottle alignment, and incorporate protective elements for safe operation and access control.

Result — We implemented a robust and efficient system that enables quick and simple processing of bottles with minimal operator intervention. The line operates reliably, with a high degree of automation, and meets all industrial requirements, including safety, visibility, and ease of maintenance.

Description of the solution

The line is designed for reliable transport, precise centering, and two-sided labeling of bottles in a single process. It consists of two belt conveyors, a separator, a centering system with rotating rollers, and two label applicators that apply labels to the front and back of the bottles.

The system is enclosed by protective fencing and equipped with safety switches to prohibit access during operation. The entire structure, including the protective casing and the frame, is made of stainless steel, ensuring durability, resistance to corrosion, and ease of maintenance.

Separating system with pneumatic cylinders for bottle separation

Machine operation — step by step

1. Bottle loading: The bottle is placed on the belt conveyor at the start of the line.

2. Separating: A pneumatic cylinder separates it from other bottles.

3. Centering: Rotating rollers align the bottle to the center of the upper conveyor.

4. Label application: Two label applicators apply a label to the front and back of the bottle at the same time.

5. Removal: The processed bottle is removed manually by the operator at the end of the line or fed into the next conveyor.
