The art of simplicity – innovative construction solutions with aluminum profiles

Minitec aluminum profiles – Simplicity enabling limitless possibilities

Even the Brockhaus Encyclopedia refers to the concept of a modular system as a method for assembling complex technical solutions using simple building blocks. These allow for straightforward and economical construction while offering exceptional flexibility and broad applicability.

We have consistently followed this principle in developing our own aluminum profile system. Our goal was to create a system that enables maximum adaptability with a minimal number of different components. The result is a profile system with fewer than 80 different profiles, allowing for the creation of a wide range of applications – from ergonomic workstations and dynamic linear units to complex assembly lines. This ensures greater efficiency, flexibility, and simplicity, which are crucial for success in today’s industry. It enables fast adaptation to the ever-changing demands of modern industries and delivers sustainable solutions for projects of all sizes.

The most common and versatile selection of Minitec aluminum profiles is the 45 series. In addition to a wide variety of profiles, they are complemented by over 11,000 components from our product range. Our modular system is also extended with aluminum profiles in the basic 30 series dimension, complete with compatible components. Thanks to their smaller size and lighter weight, the 30 mm base profiles are more suitable for smaller, lighter, and simpler constructions.

Profile optimization for Increased efficiency

Through collaboration with the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics (ITWM), Minitec has achieved optimal results in profile development. Thanks to a standardized slot system, all our profiles are fully compatible and allow for flexible combinations across various applications. This simplifies assembly process and reduces the need for different tools when constructing profiles and components.

Key Features:

  • Uniform Slot System.
  • The 8 mm width and 15 mm depth of the slot allow for a wide range of screw types, increasing assembly flexibility and enabling the use of the profile system across a broad spectrum of applications.
  • A standardized M8 threaded bore enables the use of self-tapping screws without the need for thread cutting, significantly reducing assembly time.
  • A consistent 2.5 mm edge radius not only ensures an aesthetically pleasing appearance but also enhances safety by preventing injuries from sharp profile edges.

Minimal planning and optimized engineering

The Minitec system enables fast and straightforward planning. Thanks to the full compatibility of all components and the use of our proprietary CAD software, proven elements and solutions can be assembled quickly. The software automatically generates parts lists, reducing the need for manual planning and ensuring greater accuracy.

Power-Lock system

Minimal assembly time – No drilling or thread cutting required

Ease of assembly is a key advantage of the Minitec system. Thanks to the patented Power-Lock fastening element, assembly time is reduced to a minimum.

The assembly process is extremely straightforward and requires only a 4 mm Allen key – with no need for additional tools or profile machining.

This ensures fast and hassle-free construction of structures.

POWER-LOCK – Patented fastening element

Power-Lock is an innovative fastening solution that enables fast, secure, and cost-effective assembly of structures without the need for additional profile machining. The self-tapping screw easily threads into the central hole of the aluminum profile and fits into the profile slot to be joined. Using an M8 screw, it creates a strong, safe, and ESD-compliant connection without any extra drilling or profile processing. This system allows for straightforward assembly, modification, or extension of constructions using only basic hand tools.

Key Advantages of the Power-Lock System:

  • minimal structural planning required,
  • eliminates the need for profile machining,
  • enables easy repositioning and adjustments after assembly,
  • provides reliable electrical conductivity,
  • significantly reduces assembly time.

Three-step assembly process with Power-Lock:

STEP 1

Screw the self-tapping screw into the central hole of the profile using a cordless drill.

STEP 2

Place the second profile onto the connecting element and adjust it to the desired location.

STEP 3

Use a 4 mm hex key to fasten the screw in the connecting element.

This method enables rapid and reliable assembly, minimizing errors and demanding minimal effort.

Other methods of joining elements

In addition to our unique Minitec Power-Lock system, we offer a wide range of other fastening components such as Minitec screws and nuts, brackets, mounting supports, and more. These provide various options for using and combining aluminum profiles. Explore our portfolio of fastening elements and see how easy they are to use in your projects.
