In modern production, high-quality and precise product marking is an important part of ensuring traceability, quality control, and an efficient production process. For the purpose of marking radiator manifolds, we developed a dedicated laser cell that enables fast, precise, and repeatable engraving of different product versions.
The developed solution combines a stable mechanical structure, adjustable positioning elements, and a precise laser unit movement system. The cell is designed to allow easy adaptation to different product types while ensuring reliable operation in serial production.
In the radiator manifold marking process, it was necessary to ensure greater accuracy, repeatability, and flexibility when working with different product versions.
Since individual products differ in dimensions and marking position requirements, it was necessary to develop a solution that enables quick machine setup, stable product positioning, and consistent engraving results in every cycle.
The main project challenges were:

ensuring repeatable quality in the engraving process.
Based on the customer's requirements, we developed a dedicated laser cell tailored to the specific requirements of the radiator manifold marking process. When designing the machine, we paid particular attention to stability, ease of operation, and the ability to make quick adjustments when changing products.
The entire machine structure is designed modularly, allowing adaptation to different product versions without major modifications to the system. Adjustable mechanical elements enable quick workstation setup while ensuring precise and repeatable product positioning.
For stable product positioning, we developed a system of interchangeable fixtures that can be adapted to different types of radiator manifolds. The fixtures ensure the correct product position during the marking process and allow quick changeovers when switching to another product.

Laser cell for marking radiator manifolds
An important part of the solution is the laser unit movement system, which enables precise adjustment of the engraving position according to the selected product type. The mechanical design of the system ensures stable positioning and therefore consistent marking results throughout the entire production process.
Workplace ergonomics were also taken into account during the development of the machine. The controls are designed to be clear and intuitive, allowing the operator to quickly prepare the machine for the selected product and carry out the marking process without complex adjustments.
The machine is manufactured in accordance with all safety regulations, with particular emphasis on protecting the operator from harmful radiation from the laser source. Handover documentation in accordance with CE requirements, as well as operating and maintenance instructions, was prepared for the machine.
End stop with adjustable linear unit:
To accommodate different product dimensions, the machine is equipped with a linear adjustment unit. The system enables manual adjustment of the product's end position according to its size or type.
The mechanical position indicator (counter) ensures simple and repeatable adjustment, enabling quick machine setup when changing products.
Laser unit movement system:
The laser unit is mounted on an automatic movement system that enables precise positioning of the focal distance relative to the product.
The system ensures a stable laser position during operation and allows adjustment according to the requirements of each product version. This ensures high-quality and repeatable engraving regardless of the product type.

Modular product fixtures: To ensure optimal positioning of different radiator manifolds, the machine is equipped with interchangeable fixtures.
The modular design enables quick fixture changes and therefore greater production flexibility. During marking, the product is securely positioned, preventing unwanted movement and ensuring precise results.
Process control and monitoring: The machine is designed for simple and clear operation.
Before starting the process, the operator:
selects the appropriate setting according to the product type,
checks that the fixture is correctly installed,
closes the service door, which is protected by a safety magnetic switch,
starts the marking process.
The machine status is clearly indicated by light signals, allowing a quick overview of the process.
The developed laser cell provides the customer with a more efficient and reliable marking process. The machine design offers flexibility, shorter setup times, and consistent process quality.
